I have enjoyed countless of rounds of vingt-et-un. I started sneaking into the casinos when I was still underage. I have played online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. Given all that I have still spent all kinds of money at 21. The gambling halls have made it nearly impossible to defeat the game.
I still enjoy the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have played a variation of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get rich with this method or beat the house, however you will experience an abundance of fun. This tactic is founded on the fact that vingt-et-un appears to be a game of streaks. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you’re not you are NOT!
I bet with basic strategy chemin de fer. When I lose I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I lose again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I win I take the payout paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the bet back down to the original bet.
I am very disciplined and never back out. It gets very enjoyable on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in series your wagers go up very quick. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had great runs a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Flamingo a few years ago with $750 after 35 mins using this tactic! And a number of days ago in Sin City I left a game with $1200!
You need to understand that you can give away a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be amazed at the streaks you witness betting this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a 5 dollar table.

Take $5 paid to you, leave the first $5 wager
Wager $5
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $10
Wager ten dollar
Take ten dollar paid to you, leave the original $10 wager
Bet $10
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total wager of 20 dollar
Bet twenty dollar
Take $20 paid-out to you, leave the first $20 wager
Wager twenty dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid to you for a total wager of 40 dollar
Wager forty dollar
Take forty dollar paid to you, leave the initial 40 dollar bet
Bet forty dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total bet of eighty dollar
Bet eighty dollar
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the first eighty dollar wager
Wager eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar
Wager 160 dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $160 wager
If you departed at this instance you would be up 3 hundred and 15 dollars !!
It’s iffy to go on a streak this long, but it often happen. And when it does you can NOT alter and lower your bet or the final result will not be the same.
